Program Fees

The Study Abroad Program offers a variety of programs that are designed to provide students with the accomodations needed for an optimal study abroad experience.  These accommodations take multiple expenses into account, and vary across our large selection of programs offered.  Expenses for these programs change every year and factor location, duration, and external influence into their final cost.

Financial aid options and opportunities for scholarships are available to all students for all programs.  For further information regarding scholarship opportunities, click here:

Please be advised that airfare usually does not include trip cancellation insurance.  Although programs are rarely cancelled due to extraneous circumstances, students will not receive a refund for their purchased tickets if such situations occur, unless trip cancellation insurance was purchased separately.

Costs for all programs consist of regular DePaul tuition for the number of credits taken plus the additional program fee. Program fees are based on actual costs of the prior year and projections for the current year.  Inflation and fluctuating exchange rates make it impossible to state a fixed cost.  DePaul University reserves the right to adjust program fees and the right to cancel or alter programs without notice.  Program fee information for the different types of programs offered is listed below.

Program Fees: Term-Long Programs

Term-Long programs generally contain 16 Depaul credits or more and mostly last for a minimum of one academic term.  These programs are run in conjunction with a host institution or educational facility.  Program fees for most programs include housing and living arrangements, orientations, study abroad health insurance, and some excursions.  Because of the particular customization of each program, the inclusion and extent of offered accommodations vary.  Airfare to and from the program site is generally not included.  For an up-to-date listing of program fee information for Term-Long programs, click here:

Program fees for Short-Term programs usually include living arrangements, study abroad health insurance, tour, excursion and event admissions, airfare to and from the program site, and some meals.  Because of the particular customization of each program, the inclusion and extent of offered accommodations vary.
